Download PDF files of USGS 7.5 minute quad topo maps of your area.

Cibola SAR Mini Lessons

From the Cibola SAR group of Albuquerque, New Mexico, comes a set of mini lessons running the gamut of SAR operations.  Cibola's focus is wilderness SAR so their gear lists may exceed the needs of Stafford volunteers, but much of the information in these lessons is very applicible.

This is a great site for learning just about any knot and is linked to by numerous SAR groups throughout the country.  This link takes you to a dedicated Search and Rescue Knot page.
